Algerian intelligence chiefs, held during protests, go on trial

​September 23, 2019 - Algiers, Algeria, Africa - A military court south of Algiers today started the trial of two former intelligence chiefs, the former president's youngest brother and a political party leader. The four have been in detention since May for "harming the authority of the army" and "conspiring against the authority of the state".
