Congo's president delivers state-of-the-nation address

December 13, 2019 - Kinshasa, Congo (DRC), Africa - Congolese President Felix Tshisekedi will deliver his first state-of-the-nation address as authorities in the east of the country battle a surge in Islamist violence that has killed at least 100 people since October and the second-worst Ebola epidemic on record. Tshisekedi won a disputed election a year ago, succeeding Joseph Kabilla, who retains considerable influence over decision-making.
