Official campaigns begin for Tunisian elections

September 02, 2019 - Tunis, Tunisia, Africa - An official campaigning period for the September 15 presidential election begins in Tunisia. The election is being held early because of the death in July of President Beji Caid Essebsi. A run-off vote will be held between the two candidates with most votes if no one secures a straight majority. Parliamentary elections are also scheduled for October 6.
