US Secretary of Health visits DRC to assess Ebola response

September 13, 2019 - Kinshasa, Congo (DRC), Africa - US Secretary of Health Alex Azar and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) is in Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of Congo to gather intelligence on the Ebola virus in North Kivu and observe firsthand the work of the local and international Ebola response teams. He plans to visit Goma and Butembo in DRC before taking stock of prevention measures in Uganda and Rwanda.
