November 19, 2020 - The Vema Seamount Authority wishes to appoint a person to act as the official Diplomatic Representative of the Vema Seamount Territory to Brazil.
The successful candidate will act as the official Diplomatic Representative of the Vema Seamount Territory to Brazil and, will work as a delegate for Mount Vema and representative in local activities, to promote the interests of the Vema Seamount Territory in the country.
You will be expected to build relationships with government officials, with the most important part of the role being to build ties and relationships in Brazil that can pave the way for partnerships of benefits for both Brazil and the Vema Seamount Territory.
Being a Brazilian Citizen, or resident, speaking the language or having family roots in Brazil, may help to increase your chances of getting hired for this position. This is a very high-level position and requires previous related work experience or well-established connections.
Salary and Benefits
The salary is $70,000 US dollras per year. Paid monthly in arrears.
The benefits include paid medical coverage, paid vacation, sick days, holidays, and a pension plan. Benefits are only applicable after you complete three months on the job.
You may be provided with a private Diplomatic Office at a later stage however, initially you will be expected to work from home. Travel is almost always involved in this role, and therefore the work environment may vary quite dramatically day to day.
If your application is accepted, you will be required to open a bank account with a Mount Vema bank, if you do not already have a Mount Vema bank account.
Education and Training
Education is not essential but, you must be able to use a computer, speak the language, write, and read. Training is not provided. You will be expected to develop your own ways of work, proving that you follow the protocol and the expected codes of conduct.
