Appointment of Commissioners of Customs and Excise – Invitation to express interest

July 02, 2020 – Mount Vema -  His Mount Vema Majesty, in accordance with Part II, Administration, Appointment and duties of Commissioners, officers, etc, Section 6- Appointment and general duties of Commissioners, etc. of  the Customs and Excise Act, Mount Vema 2018, Order No.15 SI/MV2018/15. Made: 02nd of July 2018, in accordance with the 2006 Declaration of Sovereignty, needs to appoint persons to be Commissioners of Customs and Excise for the Vema Seamount Territory.
 
Successful candidate will start immediately for training, to hold the office during His Mount Vema Majesty’s pleasure and will be paid such remuneration and allowances as the Minister for the Civil Service may determine after a successful interview and relevant experience.
 
In addition to the duties to be conferred on the successful candidates, by or under any other enactment, the Commissioners will, subject to the general control of the Treasury of the Kingdom of Mount Vema, be charged with the duty of collecting and accounting for, and otherwise managing, the revenues of customs and excise of His Mount Vema Majesty’s realm.
 
The Commissioners may commission such officers and appoint or authorize such other persons to discharge any duties in relation to any assigned matter on such terms and conditions, and may pay to them such remuneration and allowances, as the Commissioners may with the sanction of the Minister for the Civil Service determine.
