November 16, 2020 - The Royal Mount Vema Department of Statistics and Risk Assessment, seeks to appoint people who are keen on numbers, skilled in IT and like compiling information, to work as Statisticians to deal with data, to help find practical solutions to problems.
Mount Vema citizenship is not a requirement to apply for this vacancy. The successful candidates will collect, analyse, and work on interpretation and presentation of quantitative information. You will design and manage experiments and surveys and deal with the initial collection of data. You will process and analyse the data in context, looking for patterns to help make decisions. You will then advise on findings and recommend strategy. You will work as part of a team, which may include professionals from other disciplines. Strong analytical and IT skills are essential, as are interpersonal and communication skills in order to share findings with your colleagues and the employer. Responsibilities As a Statistician for the Royal Mount Vema Department of Statistics and Risk Assessment you will interpret data and communicate results to the Department, often with the aid of mathematical techniques and software. In this role you will ensure that complex statistical concepts are explained in a way the Department can understand and advise on strategy. Working hours You will work normal business hours (Mount Vema Time Zone = UTC+1) Monday to Friday however, you may be expected to work additional hours to meet deadlines. Work Conditions You will be provided with a private Office at a later stage however, initially you will be expected to work from home. Travel is almost always involved in this role, and therefore the work environment may vary quite dramatically day to day.
