Google’s unofficial motto has long been the simple phrase “don’t be evil.”. It has been part of the company’s corporate code of conduct for along time. However, Google retained its original “don’t be evil” language until the past several months. After a corporate restructuring under the conglomerate Alphabet Inc. in October 2015, it took "Do the right thing" as its motto, also forming the opening of its corporate code of conduct, until slowly “Don’t be evil,” was almost entirely removed from the technology giant’s code of conduct.
According to independent reports the famous motto is now included only once in the 6,313-word document, right at the very end as a final aside: “And remember… don’t be evil, and if you see something that you think isn’t right – speak up!”. Well, Google, we are. You see, when Vema Seamount and its adjacent waters was declared sovereign, Mount Vema was informing the public through google sites. A platform to publish basic websites at the time. Because it was a work in progress, new ways of publishing the official works of the realm were being introduced, which became what is today www.mount-vema.com. That is when the problem started. Don’t be evil, became evil. Google the tech giant started to abuse its dominance by manipulating search results against: Mount Vema, Kingdom of Mount Vema, and anything related to the City of Mount Vema project. When Mount Vema was using google sites as the official sites, it ranked top on its search engines. When Mount Vema moved to other service providers it was punished by Google. Now it goes like this, Google places negative articles like the ones created by geek.com on top of their search engines, then Google contacts Mount Vema to advertise, so to enable Mount Vema or the Kingdom of Mount Vema to be placed back on top of Google search engines, it has been like this for years, until Mount Vema officials realised what was happening and stopped advertising with Google. Mount Vema lost so much money, in investments and deals because of Google, to later conclude that it was fighting pure evil. Who uses an article written by a racist organization who gets away with it in the name of free press, and that organization is www.geek.com. Geek.com calls Mount Vema a: crazy, elaborate scam of the underwater Kingdom of Vema. It starts with: “If you haven’t heard of The Kingdom of Mount Vema, don’t worry: it is very tiny and, at the moment, none of it is above water.” That is correct. It is tiny, and none will be above the water unless the Vema Seamount Authority says so. “The future floating Kingdom of Vema is actually a seamount, a mountain under the sea that does not break the surface of the ocean. Vema Seamount is in the Atlantic ocean off the coast of South Africa, and is notable because Googling it to find out more will send you down a very crazy internet, potentially money laundering rabbit hole.” Well, well informed people would describe it different. Vema Seamount, its adjacent waters and its manageable natural resource (fish) which can be exported as food and related seafood products, is a manageable territory. So, we don’t see any crazy internet or potential laundering rabbit hole, here. Maybe in the crazy internet world of geek.com “According to a network of websites, Vema Seamount declared itself a sovereign territory in 2006, and the Sovereign of Mount Vema — His Majesty King Peter Goldishman of Mount Vema — declared himself the leader of “The Kingdom of Mount Vema,” a mountain he would pile sand on top of to make an island by 2014. He would then hold his coronation and preside over many happy tourists and scientists who would immigrate there.” There are, no network of websites, simply sites published to provide the services needed to maintain the territory. “Peter Goldishman declared the territory sovereign”, so what, anyone could have done it. Vema Seamount didn’t belong to anyone. We see no piles of sand anywhere. That is very unlikely to happen for an economy which depends mostly on fish. Monarchy is the chosen system of Government, nothing more. We see no one preparing for coronation. “For how much information is available about the Kingdom at mountvema.com, you’d think there would be more about the plans to build an entire functioning kingdom on top of the seamount, but the subjects of King Peter seem to think this diagram of the kingdom’s territories (fiefdoms?) answers all the basic questions anyone could have about building a floating country:” Perhaps www.geek.com never heard of ‘work in progress’. “Considering there is, at this moment, nothing above water in the Kingdom of Mount Vema, it might surprise you that the country has a market claiming it can ship things to you, a group that plans dance-based networking events, and a Miss Mount Vema Pageant. Mount Vema also has currency, which is graced with the face of His Majesty King Peter Goldishman:” Although you www.geek.com have just contradicted yourself, we are happy to break it down for you: Yes, it has a market, and shipping is possible to support any vessel scheduled to stay at sea in Mount Vema for longer periods of time. The shipping company advertises its price as a guide to enable others to better plan, in term of cost. Events are part of the plans, it helps business people and individuals plan ahead, unless you www.geek.com operate on day-to-day bases. No budget, no schedule, nothing. Currency, sorry www.geek.com, we much rather manage our own finances, and have on our currency the face of anyone we wish to. “Whereas the details about ballroom dancing lessons and an “active” TV station are entertaining, the amount of attention paid to building a phony economy are telling. The Kingdom of Mount Vema doesn’t seem to be a whimsical fantasy, like when you and your childhood friends declared your backyard was seceding from the United States — it seems to be a front for some sort of scam.” Sorry www.geek.com unfortunately some of us and I am certain that Peter too, didn’t have the luxury that you and your childhood friends had of declaring your backyard as seceding from the United States. We, just like the founders of the United States, are trying to build a new world. No scam here, we have reasons to aim to build something new for ourselves. I am sure you don’t need to think that way, because if you did, you would have interpreted our vision differently. “At the very base level, this is likely a Nigerian Prince scam. In the age of the more savvy internet user that can easily Google and realize that Nigeria declared themselves a Republic in 1963, it helps to have royalty that actually appears legitimate when you are trying to fleece people out of money.” Peter Goldishman is not from Nigeria, and just the fact that you are associating him with Nigeria it shows just how racist you are and how racist your article is. Peter is a black man, you could associate him with any other black or white person from any other country, but it must be Nigeria. Is it that all Nigerians are the same? We don’t think so. There is so much about your crazy and backwards thinking news article, that it would take us the entire week to respond. The only sad thing is that it is the same malicious news article that people use to judge us, including Google. Google uses it against Mount Vema when it comes to rankings on its search engines. As if Mount Vema and geek.com were some sort of competitors, and then Google says don’t be evil, well who is being evil? Not us! In 2010, the EU began its investigation, after British price comparison site Foundem, French legal search engine eJustice.fr, and Microsoft-owned Ciao from Bing complained that Google's practices put competitors at a disadvantage. But the regulators didn't formally accuse the Google of an antitrust violation until 2015. The commission analyzed the results of 1.7 billion real Google search queries—around 5.2 terabytes of data—and concluded that, on average, the company placed results from competing online shopping services only on the fourth page of its results. Google has largely escaped similar scrutiny in the US. Federal Trade Commission staffers recommended a lawsuit against Google over unfair business practices back in 2012, according to documents acquired by The Wall Street Journal in 2015. But, ultimately, FTC commissioners decided not to pursue a lawsuit after Google made a few changes, such as allowing companies like TripAdvisor and Yelp opt out of having their content used in Google's own services. This year, Sir Tim Berners-Lee has launched a "Magna Carta for the web", warning that tech giants must change their ways to save the online world from the dangerous forces they have unleashed. Sir Tim, who invented the World Wide Web in 1989, called for a "revolution" in how the internet is regulated and monetised in order to stem abuse, political polarisation and fake news. Speaking at the Web Summit in Lisbon to launch a new "contract for the web" he asks internet companies to uphold a set of principles such as protecting privacy and being transparent about their algorithms. Facebook and Google have backed the contract, which will be agreed in detail next year, despite both companies being mentioned by its creator as examples of how "the web we know and love" is under threat. “…we have people being profiled in a way that they can be manipulated by clever ads…” He said. Will they do something about it? Will see.

The internet traffic data for November 2018 shows how for the first time since the creation of the Kingdom of Mount Vema, China has joined the list of nations with growing interest in the City of Mount Vema development project, only second to the United States this month.
Internet traffic from the United States continues to lead for the sixth consecutive month when it comes to interest in the City of Mount Vema developments. But the speed of the growing interest from China indicates that the order of interest in likely to shift very soon. Since the official language of Mount Vema is English, and the official website of the Vema Seamount Territory is all written in English only, it is a unique event. China at one time during the month of November was the country that most expressed interest in Mount Vema. The report which is compiled on monthly bases, and published from time to time, shows that the popularity of the City of Mount Vema Project among people and the business community is becoming stronger in China than in the United States of America which is the country that visited Mount Vema official websites more than any other country. There is a big difference between the United States and China in terms of the source of their interests. In the United States, internet traffic comes mainly because of advertised job vacancies related to Mount Vema, and companies providing services to Mount Vema who generally keep an eye on the project. But, in China there was never an advert. Mount Vema never advertised in China, mainly due to the language barrier. The only business contact with China was through the process of chartering and buying ships, and even that the volume of activity was limited. So, the growing internet traffic from China was expected but limited at this stage of developments. That is why many, especially people at the Gollexi (The Mount Vema Stock Exchange), believe that China could be the biggest surprise, as well as the long-term beneficiary of the City of Mount Vema project. The reason many believe that, is simply because the world tends to ‘wait and see’ what happens, joining when everything is done. The problem with that behaviour is that when you finally join, there is no room left in terms of opportunity, you must pay more to get in, and the benefits are not as great when compared to those who got in first. What China is doing is what the United States used to do. The ‘visionary’ attitude, which is the reason why Mount Vema spent so much money in advertising in the USA, seeking to revive what America used to have, that visionary attitude either from individuals, corporations or at the government level. Visionaries try to understand the idea, the concept, they then join when the trees are being planted or when the seed is being prepared. They help you plant it, and they help you look after the tree, so they can share the rewards. That is how visionaries think. Unless there is a major shift in the geopolitical sphere of influences, with bold thinking in terms of international development, we are more likely to see China generating revenues in billions of dollars from Mount Vema in the next five to ten years, more than any other country simply because of the ‘wait and see’ attitude versus the ‘visionary’ attitude. A new data released by the Mount Vema Department of Statistics and Risk Assessment says that consumer spending in Mount Vema will exceed 500 million golles, more than $1 billion US dollars a year.
The new figures come after the government started to include visitors due to an increasing number of people making travel plans to Mount Vema. Previously the Statistics Department released its estimates based on the number of accommodations allocated for each district that will total 250,000+ residents which was the amount of homes needed to keep the economy going. This is the first time the figures are published, with the estimated number of annual visitors expected to attend annual events and tourism which as an industry, was never included in the estimates before. For the economy to function as it is designed, Mount Vema will need more than 250,000 temporary workers within the next 10 years, with each district providing accommodation to just over 25,000 people to meet that target. When the government published estimates, which are changed every quarter in line with economic developments, the market always anticipated that tourism estimates were coming. The new estimates today just confirmed what brokers and economists at Gollexi – The Mount Vema Stock Exchange have been commenting for years. As developments entered a new stage, the Mount Vema Center for Statistics and Risk Assessment decided that it has enough data to include tourism. So, businesses serving 250,000+ customers including more than 1.5million estimated visitors per month, each spending just about 500 golles, they are likely to generate just over 50 million+ golles (more than $100 million+ US dollars) every month. After fees and expenses there will be still about 40 million golles a month to be shared between traders serving the residents. The data explains why there is so much interest in business licenses and the increasing number of foreign companies and foreign governments investing in Mount Vema companies and government bonds either at the Gollexi or privately through lucrative deals with the Vema Seamount Authority. The key is to be always one step ahead of the market and identify the opportunities before the market catches up. It is official. The construction of the City of Mount Vema starts on Monday the 19 of November 2018. The government confirmed today. Most of the work will start outside Mount Vema with the construction of precast concrete structures.
The structures will then be transported to Mount Vema throughout December 2018 and January 2019 to be used as the provisional port and as base for on site activities. In the meantime, security patrols will begin to maintain security and prepare for the arrival of the concrete structures. The Vema Seamount Authority has issued a statement this morning to thank all participants. The Monarch has said that “Mount Vema is a place for innovative thinkers, and men and women of good character, with the will and the heart to get there either to expand their businesses, or to start fresh, and to prosper as far their talents permit, regardless of the colour of their skin”. “As a new state, we will remain neutral but open to any proposal, and partnerships of mutual benefit. May God Bless us all on this journey”. Said Peter J. Goldishman – The Vema Seamount Authority, to mark the start of construction activities. Construction of the tidal power plant proposed by vonMelyn – the utility company of Mount Vema will start in December this year and will be completed just before 2020. The project is designed to become a reliable source of electricity for the entire City of Mount Vema.
According to the company's plans, the output of the City of Mount Vema Power Plant network which will operate 24 hours a day will exceed 3200 MW with a power capacity the equivalent of just over 1 million homes. More than the capacity Mount Vema will needed to keep the lights on 24/7, as any excess energy would be stored for later. Tidal power or tidal energy is a form of hydropower that converts the energy obtained from tides into useful forms of power, mainly electricity. Although not yet widely used, tidal energy has potential for future electricity generation. Tides are more predictable than the wind and the sun. A tidal generator converts the energy of tidal flows into electricity. Greater tidal variation and higher tidal current velocities can dramatically increase the potential of a site for tidal electricity generation. Because the Earth's tides are ultimately due to gravitational interaction with the Moon and Sun and the Earth's rotation, tidal power is practically inexhaustible and classified as a renewable energy resource. The City of Mount Vema tidal project is another boost for the Mount Vema economy in terms of engineering, construction and manufacturing. The technology concept is simple but innovative, supported by a network of floating structures with specially designed turbines. The structures are also especially designed to prevent any harm to the marine environment. Because the Mount Vema economy will depend heavily on fisheries, the marine life was a huge factor when the concept was proposed. Precautions were made to ensure that the marine animals will not be affected. Also, the issue of acoustic output has been solved, where frequency and amplitude of sound generated by the tidal energy devices, can have varying effects on marine mammals (particularly those who echolocate to communicate and navigate in the marine environment, such as dolphins and whales). Almost like a lagoon tidal power, the plant will have walls embedded with turbines that can capture the potential energy of tides. The network of reservoirs will be similar to those of tidal barrages, except that it will float. The power plant will rely on variation of tides over a day to take its power from the Earth's oceanic tides. Tidal forces are periodic variations in gravitational attraction exerted by celestial bodies. These forces create corresponding motions or currents in the world's oceans. Due to the strong attraction to the oceans, a bulge in the water level is created, causing a temporary increase in sea level. As the Earth rotates, this bulge of ocean water meets the shallow water adjacent to the shoreline and creates a tide. The tidal occurrence takes place in an unfailing manner, due to the consistent pattern of the moon's orbit around the earth. The magnitude and character of this motion reflects the changing positions of the Moon and Sun relative to the Earth, the effects of Earth's rotation, and local geography of the sea floor and coastlines. Tidal power is the only technology that draws on energy inherent in the orbital characteristics of the Earth–Moon system, and to a lesser extent in the Earth–Sun system. Other natural energies exploited by human technology originate directly or indirectly with the Sun, including fossil fuel, conventional hydroelectric, wind, biofuel, wave and solar energy. Nuclear energy makes use of Earth's mineral deposits of fissionable elements, while geothermal power taps the Earth's internal heat, which comes from a combination of residual heat from planetary accretion (about 20%) and heat produced through radioactive decay (80%). His Mount Vema Majesty’s Government has confirmed today that the Kingdom of Mount Vema will not allow imports of any vehicle other than electric. The territory will start importing cars as soon as next year first to move around the building sites and then for residents’ daily use.
Electric cars have several benefits over conventional internal combustion engine automobiles, including a significant reduction of local air pollution, as they do not directly emit pollutants such as particulates (soot), volatile organic compounds, hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, ozone, lead, and various oxides of nitrogen. There are different types of electric vehicles, because an electric car's power source is not explicitly an on-board battery. Electric car with motor powered by other energy sources are typically referred to by a different name. For example, an electric car carrying solar panels to power it is a solar car, and an electric car powered by a gasoline generator is a form of hybrid car. Thus, an electric car that derives its power from an on-board battery pack is a form of battery electric vehicle (BEV). Most often, the term "electric car" is used to refer to battery electric vehicles but, may also refer to plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV). Electric cars are less expensive to run than comparable internal combustion engine vehicles due to the lower cost of repairs and energy. However, on average they cost significantly more to initially buy, and they depreciate more quickly than conventional cars so, ARCKrove, the leading manufacturing company of Mount Vema is currently seeking deals and partnerships to make parts and assemble electric vehicles and components in Mount Vema to make it affordable for residents. Companies registered with the Vema Seamount Territory (Mount Vema Registered Companies) must have a City of Mount Vema off-plan address, according to a new policy. The registered address is required for Mount Vema incorporated organizations to continuously display their City of Mount Vema off-plan address on their emails, brochures and websites.
The off-plan address of any legal entity of the Vema Seamount Territory, forming part of the public record, should be accepted as the required address where the registered organization or legal entity is incorporated. The policy which was first introduced to increase the value of the City of Mount Vema off-plan properties seems to be working as more companies are reserving the limited number of available real estate plans before it is sold out. For example, this weekend alone a third of all development units for the financial district (Maryland MD08 Zone) where the head offices of the RBMV Bank, and GolleCard will be, have been reserved. Also, a third of the development units for the technology district (San Miguel SM07 Zone) where the head office of MVScloud will be, have been reserved this weekend. Bavarolle, the real estate company of Mount Vema doesn’t list all properties for sale, but it told VSBCnews that demand is so high, it is increasing daily especially when the required deposit to secure a development unit is only 1000 golles (about $2000 US dollars). A deposit in some areas like Pashant (PT01 Zone) where the office of MONTfisheries will be, reservation prices are already at 3,000 golles per development unit from 1,000 golles last month. Because a registered office address does not have to be where the organization conducts its actual business or trade, the Mount Vema off-plan address in now accepted to be used on headed papers and other documents for legal and filling purposes, to indicate that it is a legal entity registered with the Vema Seamount Territory. Law firms such as VANDER Legal, and accountants are due to start providing registered off-plan office address services to any business seeking a Mount Vema off-plan address. A company providing such service must either own or rent a Mount Vema property off-plan, and such off-plan property must be licensed to conduct such business activity. As of today, documents and official e-mail correspondences for an incorporated organization (e.g. formal notices, service of process, tax and government communications) must show the registered off-plan office address as recorded on the register. Such address may also be used by company directors instead of their private home address for contact on the register. The company director’s personal records will be kept with the register and will not be available to the public except for legal inspection. If a Mount Vema company is involved in any legal proceedings, the case will be presided over by a Court of the governing jurisdiction (in this case by the laws of Mount Vema). Directors can change their registered office but cannot move it to another country after company formation. So, it would be a good idea to set up a business address in Mount Vema just to expand the geographical reach or the trading activities of your business if you don’t wish to register with the Vema Seamount Territory. Handy Deed announced today that it will begin works with several concrete specialist companies outside Mount Vema to produce the moulds to build the first set of precast concrete to be delivered to Mount Vema which will be used as provisional port and as base for construction activities.
The precast concrete structures will reduce construction time by up to 50%, as the project becomes close to reality thanks to the increasing number of private, corporate and foreign governments investing in Mount Vema securities at Gollexi – The Mount Vema Stock Exchange. The increasing number of exporters listing products for sale to Mount Vema corporations and government agencies via GolleMARKET, is also helping the project significantly as it is becoming easier for Mount Vema companies and government agencies to find businesses and governments listing and willing to sell goods and services to the Vema Seamount Territory. The precast concrete moulds will include tetrapod moulds and other precast shapes with better inherent anti-corrosion characteristics and more sustainable material than steel for this type of construction such as the Port of Mount Vema, the floating city docks and the breakwaters. His Mount Vema Majesty’s Ship ‘HMVMS Mount Vema’ will be ready by the end of the month and will be the first vessel to arrive to start works over Vema Seamount. The ‘HMVMS Mount Vema, is the sovereign’s ship equipped with everything needed to build the island.
The vessel is more like a "Green Yacht" with a minimal environmental footprint. An Explorer and Support Vessel designed for support operations, with reinforced hull, stabilizers, excellent seaworthiness and comfort at sea + a cruising speed exceeding 20 kts. The vessel which is fully owned by the Vema Seamount Authority, is very reliable and comes with a fitness/spa area, entertainment area, swimming pool, and accommodation for up to 36 guests, and 100 crew members. The ‘HMVMS Mount Vema’ has an extensive main deck area and large spaces for storage of tenders, exploration equipment, offshore construction support equipment, survey, research, large freezers which can be used when deep sea fishing, landing and storing of helicopter facility with heli-garage, including submarine storage, and dive center. It comes with a yacht-quality accommodation, a hospital, and desalination capability, making it capable to assist and supply any vessels with extensive storage for provisions which enables it to stay at sea for up to 2 years without the need to refuel. The vessel can also process and recycle its own waste, generate electric power and can maintain contact with land-based operations anywhere with its state-of-the-art communications system. |
