January 14, 2020 - Mount Vema - The Government has published today the Mount Vema District Tax rate to help off-plan buyers (owners of Mount Vema title plans) to better manage their long-term financial plans.
The levy on a property in Mount Vema referred to as ‘District Tax’ is a taxation system where city of Mount Vema districts are assigned bands, based on property average value. The tax is set as a fixed amount for each band. The more valuable the property, the higher the tax, to cover the district expenditure.

Eastland: Band A (Rate (700 golles per year)
Northland: Band B (700 golles per year)
Pashant: Band C (800 golles per year)
Southland: Band D (900 golles per year)
Bella Vista: Band E (1000 golles per year)
San Miguel: Band F (1000 golles per year)
Roseland: Band G (1000 golles per year)
Westland: Band H (1000 golles per year)
Maryland: Band I (1100 golles per year)
Neverland: Band J (1200 golles per year)
Liability for District Tax
The occupiers of a property will be liable, regardless of tenure, or the owners if the property is unoccupied, except if the property is a 'house in multiple occupation', in which case the landlord is liable for paying the District Tax.
