First prototype of a City of Mount Vema floating home to be built – Handy Deed

October 19, 2020 - Handy Deed, the construction company of Mount Vema, confirmed today that the company is working on the final details to build the first prototype of a City of Mount Vema floating home.
 
The first floating home to be built, will be a prefabricated property based on the designs of the 4 Bedroom floating house for site 35 - 7th Street, District of Westland, City of Mount Vema project.
 
When completed, the property will dock and form part of its unique foundation structure to be made of precast concrete which will be built separately as part of the City Docks.  The City docks will form part of a docklands structure to be paid for by the Mount Vema government from sale of Government Bonds which will be repaid out of tax duties from Title Plan sale transactions.
 
The company will use the prototype to determine the rate of production and completion of each completely equipped and furnished floating house which, the assembling process could include more than 50,000 components, with a planned life of up to 80 years.
 
No word yet on where it will be built but with news that the Vema Seamount Authority is appointing diplomatic representatives, is a clear indication that the Government is pushing for bilateral deals to support and facilitate the process.
