Mount Vema intends to purchase 20 Remotely Operated Underwater drones

August 04, 2020 – Mount Vema – His Mount Vema Majesty’s Government announced today that it intends to purchase about 20 Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicles by the end of the year 2020 according to VSBCnews sources.

​The ROVs will be purchased to be made available on the Mount Vema marketplace so companies and agencies can hire the drones for scientific explorations, underwater photography, hull & dock inspection, aquaculture inspection, underwater search and rescue, and general construction and maintenance of the Vema Seamount as well as the supervision of marine life and fisheries stocks.

​The use of underwater drones in Mount Vema will be highly regulated. It is currently illegal, and it is likely to remain illegal for security reasons for anyone to use underwater drones in Mount Vema without a license. You could be fined up to 50,000 golles if you are caught using drones in Mount Vema without a license, and fines will be issued to illegal drone operators beyond the Vema Seamount Territorial waters.
