Handy Deed, the management contractor, for the City of Mount Vema Development - Phase 2 - hereby notifies all tenderers for Procurement Notice No. 2019/000001 - Build Foundation of Site 1 and Site 2, 5th Avenue (Off-Plan), Breakwater Docks - (Docklands), that tender submissions for this section of the project is now closed.
Until a formal contract is prepared and executed, the notification of award sent to the successful tender constitutes a binding Contract. All tenderers for procurement No. 2019/000001 have been notified of the results of the Tendering.
Any tender who have not received notification for this award should inform the Office for General Procurement, and may request for a debriefing to seek explanations on the grounds on which their Tenders were not selected. At the request of the successful tenderer and the confidentiality agreements involved VSBCnews cannot publish the name of the winner, however their details are included in all notifications sent to tenderers of Procurement No. 2019/000001.

The works includes, construction, construction technology, contract administration, creating inclusive environments, and sustainability, and use of pre-cast concrete, not to disrupt the Vema Seamount marine life.
The works will be completed no later than April 2021, to produce a structure robust enough to be used as breakwaters, not just to protect the city for any waves of up to 10 meters high or tsunamis, as well as facilities to boost the Vema Seamount marine life and for better management of marine resources.
The foundations of the Site 1 and Site 2 will be home of a set of buildings to be built separately under a different tender. Site 1 will be home of the City of Mount Vema Broadband Infrastructure, and Site 2 will be home of the Coast Guard, Customs and Immigration Outposts for inspection of ships entering the City of Mount Vema.
The foundation works for site 1 and 2 will cover a 300 square meter area, which will support a section of the 5th Avenue, as part of the breakwaters and will cost 448,000,000 golles.
