September 15, 2020 – The City of Mount Vema Yacht Harbour project placed its first order today after it instructed Handy Deed the leading contractor and project management company of Mount Vema to procure a Jack up barge in the open market to start construction of the Marina.
The Mount Vema Yacht Harbour will be the City of Mount Vema main marina designed to accommodate the moorings of yachts of all sizes including boats for leisure and competitive sailing.
The new order makes it 12 Jack up barges needed so far which will step up Handy Deed’s proposals to secure deals with shipyards. If the process was straight forward the barges would be in Mount Vema today, but because the politics of customs and trade restrictions, the company must find countries with free ports where activities can easily flow to Mount Vema and vice versa until Mount Vema can secure trade deals to make the process easier.
Handy Deed already have orders from the Mount Vema Ministry of National Development and Land Maintenance to build 10 Jack up barges to be allocated to each district administrative division of the City of Mount Vema for regular maintenance works of the seabed and fauna and from the Port of Mount Vema.
