June 01, 2021 – His Mount Vema Majesty’s Government has reintroduced the old airport plans to be located northwest of the City of Mount Vema to accommodate the Mount Vema Royal Order No.3 SI/MV2017/3. The Order No.3 SI/MV2017/3 which is accessible at https://www.mount-vema.com/uploads/1/0/3/6/103667790/visiting_forces_act_mount_vema_2017.pdf is the Visiting Forces Act, Mount Vema 2017, made on the 5th of June 2017, in accordance with the 2006 Declaration of Sovereignty. The order is an Act to make provision with respect to naval, military and air forces of certain other countries visiting the Kingdom of Mount Vema, especially for countries with significant interest in the security of the Atlantic Ocean. Although the Order initially applied to South Africa, United Kingdom, Brazil, United States, Canada, Portugal, Uruguay, Namibia, Netherlands, Ireland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Ghana, Germany, and France, when it was introduced back in 2017, it now applies to more countries. According to a VSBCnews source, Mount Vema still aims to maintain a neutral position with regards to military affairs between other nations, however the territory the source said, will not hesitate to provide facilities or financial assistance to any nation working to maintain global order based on the rule of law and especially, to maintain peace in the Atlantic Ocean.
The position now reallocated for the second airport will not affect the Port of Mount Vema as initially thought which was the reason why the City of Mount Vema plan was redesigned to extend the seaport. New computer model, according to our source indicates that the old airport plan can still be built in the north of the territory and will provide runway for emergency landings, security and defence of the realm, and a facility to accommodate visiting forces.
