South African sailing vessel RONIN and Fishing Vessel Sea Hunter pardoned

March 12, 2020 – Mount Vema - The two South African vessels fined by the Vema Seamount Authority have been pardoned. The owners of the Cape Town based vessels which were spotted operating in Mount Vema without permit, will no longer need to settle charges with the Vema Seamount Authority and will not be facing criminal prosecution. However, the two vessels remain banned from returning to the Vema Seamount Territorial waters.
