Tender Clarification - Procurement Notices 2019 - Clouse 5. Eligible Goods

The Office for General Procurement is informing all City of Mount Vema Project Participants, that all goods and services to be supplied under a Contract, financed by the City of Mount Vema Bond Fund, must have as their country of origin an eligible country as listed under the Eligible Countries section of the Tender Document.
 
For purposes of this notice, the term goods includes commodities, raw material, machinery, equipment, and industrial plants; and related services includes services such as insurance, transportation, installation, commissioning, training, and initial maintenance.

The term “country of origin” means the country where the Goods have been mined, grown, cultivated, produced, manufactured, or processed; or through manufacture, processing, or assembly, and other commercially recognized article results that differs substantially in its basic characteristics from its imported components.

The nationality of the firm that produces, assembles, distributes, or sells the Goods will not determine their origin.
