His Mount Vema Majesty’s government has approved the largest increase and the highest development aid budget in the history of the Kingdom of Mount Vema.
The 2019 budget includes a planned increase in allocations for development aid from 720,000 golles currently 1% of the country’s income, to 700 million golles by 2025. The fund was initially created to pay for research programs that will improve the planet, our relationship with God, advances in medicine, water supply including desalination, energy and food supply, protection of the oceans, the marine life, and the wild life.
Today the government underlined its development policy responsibility, particularly in light of the growing challenges in the area of international climate protection. Each government department would have an annual increase at their disposal to provide aid in poor countries throughout the coming years as the economy grows steadily.
By 2030, development aid is planned to remain 1%, but that will equal to more than 5 billion golles in total additional funding in the next 10 years, according to His Mount Vema Majesty’s treasurer.
The government cited the increasingly difficult international environment in its report as the reason for boosting spending. The government sees the planet Earth confronted with growing uncertainties and calls on other governments to work towards more cooperation for the welfare of mankind, the ultimate carers of the Planet Earth.
