Netanyahu ahead after Israeli election, but still seeking ruling majority

March 3, 2020 – Jerusalem, Israel / Palestinian Territories, Middle East - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed victory in Monday’s Israeli election after exit polls predicted the strongest showing for his Likud party. But the early projections suggested he may not get enough support to form a governing right-wing coalition, which would extend the country's prolonged political deadlock that has seen three elections in a year.
